Capabiliti Learning Management System (LMS)

Client: Veritec

Service: Stock Footage Video Detailing ‘Capabiliti LMS’

Stakeholders: Companies and Departments Who Would Benefit From Capabiliti LMS

Context

Veritec are a Canberra-based IT and Business Services firm who own, operate and develop a ‘learning management system’ (LMS), Capabiliti LMS.

Capabiliti LMS helps HR managers and organisations equip their workforce with essential knowledge and training through an easy to use, online learning portal.

Veritec approached Video Spartan to produce a short video to showcase the key features of Capabiliti LMS.

Approach

After Veritec approached Video Spartan, Director Pete McPhillips attended their offices in Bruce, ACT to discuss the project. Capabiliti LMS is a multifaceted program, so the meeting was a helpful exercise in identifying the key features to be showcased in the video.

Subsequent face-to-face meetings were held at Veritec HQ to iron out technical kinks and update them on the production progress.

We wrote an engaging script and sought approval from Veritec. Following signoff, we recorded a professional male voiceover. We then commenced the post production phase. The completed video was produced in approximately 8 weeks.

Solving Problems

Initially, the video was to be a combination of animation, screen capture and stock footage. This changed later on however, to being a stock footage only video.  There were challenges faced in shifting the scope to stock footage only, notably integrating the completed script and voiceover into a coherent video, in light of the stylistic change.

Thankfully, Veritec were very forthcoming in their feedback and advice – making our change phases much easier to implement.

When we presented the changes to Veritec, their feedback was useful and fast – making the final production of the video a seamless process.

Result

In spite of the challenges we faced, we were very happy with the resulting video. We were pleased that Veritec allowed us to make our very first stock footage-only video and look forward to working with them again in the future.
